TaffyQSL

Record amateur-radio contacts on an Android phone with TaffyQSL, capturing the details of each QSO in a structured log. It uses ADIF for creating, editing, and exporting logbooks, giving operators a portable format for maintaining their contact records. The app also supports electronic QSL workflows, including signing QSOs for Logbook of the World, uploading signed records directly to LoTW, and checking which contacts have confirmed QSLs.

A natural-language QSO parser can speed entry by turning conversational contact details into log data. Satellite-contact support and DXCC entity information help operators document specialized contacts and identify worked entities. Users can choose how dates and times appear, and the interface is available in English, Simplified Chinese, and Japanese.

TaffyQSL follows a local-first design: logs, certificates, and private keys stay on the Android device, while the Android Keystore protects the credentials and can use hardware-backed security when the device supports it. Encrypted backups are stored locally, and the software includes no telemetry or tracking. The initial release, 2026-SpringBlossom-b, runs on Android 11 or newer across arm64-v8a, armeabi-v7a, x86_64, and x86 architectures, and is distributed under an open-source license. It is intended for amateur-radio operators logging everyday contacts, managing satellite or DXCC activity, and preparing signed confirmations for LoTW.
