Type messages by pressing the familiar 12-key arrangement and let predictive text turn keypad input into words instead of reaching for a conventional touchscreen keyboard. Traditional T9 63.0, released under an open-source license, brings the character of 2000s Nokia-style phones to modern devices while remaining its own keyboard rather than an exact recreation of TouchPal, Sony Ericsson, KaiOS, Samsung, or another product.

It supports predictive entry in more than 40 languages, including English, Arabic, Chinese through Pinyin, Hindi through phonetic input, Japanese through Romaji, Korean, Russian, Spanish, Thai, Ukrainian, and Vietnamese. Configurable hotkeys, a clipboard, undo and redo commands, and extensive customization let users adapt the keypad to their habits. The design concentrates on typing and deliberately does not pursue QWERTY layouts, swipe typing, GIFs, or stickers.

It suits people who prefer predictive keypad entry, along with users operating devices with physical keypads or TV remote controls. Privacy is a central design principle: the keyboard includes no spying, tracking, telemetry, reports, ads, or data collection, and its code and principles can be examined with help from the wider community. The Full version works entirely offline, while the Lite version connects to GitHub only for dictionary downloads; Voice Input may require Internet access according to the available voice service.

It runs on Android 7.0 or later with Universal architecture. The Google Play edition is nearly identical to Lite but adds closed-source premium features while retaining the project’s privacy principles.
