turtlebot3c prepares and operates a TurtleBot3 directly on the robot, bringing together the launch and configuration files needed for core operation, control, mapping, and navigation in a self-contained setup. When the robot starts, its core application activates the motor controller, makes its sensors available, uploads the robot model to the rosparam server, and publishes the robot TF tree.

The teleoperation application accepts velocity commands from a keyboard, remote controller, or navigation stack. A multiplexer chooses which command source is active, and users can change that choice through a rosservice call; the joy application also connects a third-party remote controller directly to the robot for driving. During mapping, the robot builds an environmental map as an operator drives it through the area.

Stopping a mapping run saves the resulting map in the robot’s TurtleBot3 data directory and creates a configuration link for navigation. Navigation then uses the available map to move autonomously from the robot’s current position toward a selected goal while avoiding obstacles, automatically selecting the most recently built map referenced by the mapping configuration. It is intended for people configuring, controlling, and testing TurtleBot3 hardware rather than for general desktop use.
