ustreamer

ustreamer is an open-source Linux utility for sending MJPEG video from a V4L2 device over a network. It is designed as a lightweight, fast server rather than a general-purpose video production application. Its main use is making camera or video-capture output available to clients that can read MJPEG streams.

The software accepts video from V4L2-compatible devices and serves it in the MJPEG format. New web browsers support this format natively, so a browser can be used to view the stream without requiring a separate format conversion layer.
