whatee1.0.0

Whatee brings WhatsApp messaging into a desktop window on Linux, giving users a place to read and send text conversations from their computer. It is intended as a straightforward client rather than an expanded communications suite, keeping the task centered on everyday WhatsApp chat. Because it is unofficial, it offers an independent desktop route to WhatsApp instead of presenting itself as WhatsApp’s official software.

Someone working at a Linux workstation can use whatee for routine personal conversations, quick replies, and other message-based communication. Its desktop presentation suits people who prefer handling chats alongside their computer work rather than treating messaging as a separate task. The deliberately narrow scope sets it apart by concentrating on WhatsApp conversations without adding broader collaboration or communication features.

Heli Herrera publishes whatee for communication use as open-source software. Version 1.0.0 targets Linux systems using the x86_64, also called amd64, architecture. Running it requires Linux with snapd, so it is intended for compatible 64-bit Linux environments that provide that software component.
