Create a still wallpaper image in seconds with WPGen, choosing a simple color treatment instead of relying solely on existing wallpaper files. The app generates solid-color backgrounds, diagonal gradients, and multicolor plasma-effect designs for Android devices. It is aimed at Android users who want a personal background built from their own color choices, including quick designs for a home screen, lock screen, or other device backdrop.

When making an image, you can select colors from WPGen’s predefined palette or add your own colors for combinations outside the included selection. Solid mode produces a single-color background, while diagonal gradients add a directional blend between colors. The plasma mode creates a more fluid-looking effect and supports designs containing multiple colors. Every result is static, so WPGen is intended for still wallpaper images rather than animated wallpaper.

WPGen is an Android System Tools utility distributed as open-source software, with Universal architecture for supported Android hardware. Version 1.3.4 introduces an adaptive launcher icon, allowing the app icon to fit Android launcher shapes more appropriately. It also enables Google backup, adding backup support for the app’s data through Google’s backup service.
