About
Use GNU cross-compilation toolchains to build the Zephyr RTOS for supported target architectures. zephyr-sdk-ng provides the tools needed to compile Zephyr projects for their target systems.
The SDK builds its toolchains from source with the bundled crosstool-NG. Its base snap includes the architecture-independent SDK tree, a CMake package that lets find_package(Zephyr-sdk) locate the toolchains, SDK version and toolchain metadata, a setup helper, and the default x86_64-zephyr-elf toolchain.
On Linux with snapd, install the matching zephyr-sdk-ng+ component to add another toolchain. Point the Zephyr build system to the SDK by setting ZEPHYR_SDK_INSTALL_DIR=/snap/zephyr-sdk-ng/current/usr/lib. Version 0.16.9 targets x86_64 (amd64) and is published by Canonical.
