Ableton Live Intro12.4.15

Create and produce music on a Mac by recording, editing, arranging and shaping sounds in Ableton Live Intro. This Music & Audio software provides a workspace for turning musical ideas into finished tracks and performances. Its Live 12 workflow combines sound editing with instruments, effects, sounds and creative tools for experimenting with arrangements.

MIDI Transformations apply changes to clips, including ornaments, articulations, note connections, chord joins, guitar-like strums and acceleration or deceleration curves. MIDI Generators can create melodies, chords and rhythms within constraints that you choose, giving you material to develop further. MIDI editing also supports splitting and chopping notes, joining selections, filling time ranges, and tools such as Fit to Scale, Humanize and Add Intervals.

Live 12 supports alternative tuning systems beyond 12-tone equal temperament, including use with Live devices, MPE-capable plug-ins and MPE-capable hardware. MIDI devices and instruments can follow the scale of the clip being played, while Max for Live Transformations and Generators provide additional MIDI options and can be built into new tools. Live 12.4 adds Link Audio, updated devices and workflow changes, and is a free update for Live 12 users.

Ableton Live Intro runs on macOS for Intel and Apple Silicon, and version 12.4.7 is freeware. It suits aspiring producers, musicians and performers working at home, in rehearsal, or during track creation and sound experimentation. Beginner-oriented lessons and sounds from experienced artists, along with browser-based Learning Music and Learning Synths resources, offer starting points for learning music making and synthesis.
