Accordion1.22

Accordion turns an Android device into a playable three-row accordion emulator, supporting both diatonic and continental chromatic arrangements. Players can select keys including F/Bb/Eb, G/C/F, A/D/G, C#/D/G, B/C/C#, C System, and B System. It suits accordion practice, learning, experimentation, or quick playing when a physical instrument is unavailable.

The interface offers one standard 31-button Hohner layout and two 25-button layouts, along with selectable fascia images. Touch the on-screen buttons while holding the tablet facing away from you and upright, then touch the vertical grey bar to operate the virtual bellows; a slide control at the bottom reverses the button direction. The button artwork is based on buttons from the developer’s more than 70-year-old Hohner Lilliput, giving the emulator a distinctive physical reference.

Accordion provides MIDI output through the Sonivox MIDI synthesizer, with the standard MIDI instrument set defaulting to accordion and other MIDI instruments available for selection. Players unfamiliar with button accordion can consult melodeon.net for playing guidance, while developers contributing to the project use GitHub and need an account there.

Version 1.22 refreshes both the themes and the layouts. The open-source software requires Android 5.0 or later and supports arm64-v8a, armeabi-v7a, x86_64, and x86 devices.
