Lead a party of three heroes through a branching, changing map, choosing routes toward treasure, monsters, camps, merchants, and the boss waiting at its highest point. Each expedition uses turn-based dungeon exploration, so every stop presents a decision about risk, rewards, and the next destination. If the party falls, its heroes keep their levels and equipment, letting later attempts build on earlier progress.

Choose three characters from eight classes: warrior, mage, cleric, rogue, vampire, thief, druid, and archer. Battles pit the party against more than a thousand creatures, while randomly varying rewards include weapons, armour, rings, and complete item sets. Opening treasure chests also triggers mini games, adding a separate challenge to collecting loot.

The city between runs contains shops, a trainer, a tavern, and other places for preparing the next ascent. Heroes can advance as far as level 9999, and saved progress lets a paused run resume from its previous point. Pixel-art visuals are accompanied by music and sound, with the game available in 44 languages and playable entirely offline.
