Astropad Studio5.5.3

Use an iPad as a professional drawing tablet for Mac creative work with Astropad Studio, transferring your Apple Pencil input into desktop graphics applications. It gives artists a more natural surface for sketching, painting, retouching, and other tasks that feel less direct with a conventional mouse or trackpad. The iPad can also serve as a wireless second display for a Mac, extending the workspace while keeping drawing controls close at hand.

Astropad Studio lets you control the Mac from the iPad with an Apple Pencil, combining touch interaction with precise stylus input. Its role is especially useful when desktop software offers advanced tools but the artist prefers the tactile feel of drawing directly on a tablet. The product comes from ex-Apple engineers and is designed around creative work in the Apple ecosystem.

Illustrators, concept artists, photographers, designers, and digital art students can use it at a desk, in a studio, or while traveling with an iPad. It fits situations where someone wants Mac applications and their larger desktop workflow alongside tablet-based drawing and navigation.

Astropad Studio is Photo & Graphics freeware for macOS, with support for Intel and Apple Silicon Macs. The current version is 5.5.3,5019, and using it involves an iPad as the companion drawing surface.
