Aurora HDR1.0.2

Aurora HDR lets photographers turn exposure-bracketed captures into HDR images and tone-map a single photo when no bracket set is available. It includes filters for adjusting the look of an image and can process groups of files instead of requiring each one to be edited separately. Batch tools detect exposure brackets automatically, improve bracket recognition during batch processing, and provide controls for batch file names and export quality.

Its defining strength is dedicated HDR work, including single-bracket merging and single-image tone mapping, making it useful for high-contrast landscapes and other scenes with difficult lighting. Photographers can use it for individual image finishing or for larger batches that follow the same export workflow. Skylum describes Aurora HDR as an older product whose interface may feel dated and overwhelm beginners because of its many features. The application has been replaced by Luminar and no longer receives updates or upgrades, so it will not gain newer features or performance improvements.

In the Photo & Graphics category, Aurora HDR runs on MacOS and supports both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs. The current version is 1.0.2,6495. It is distributed as freeware, allowing users to use the software without a paid license tier.
