ButterKit captures app screens directly from Xcode Simulator and turns them into polished App Store screenshot sets. Direct capture avoids intermediate exports and supports rapid design iterations. You can also drag PNG or JPG images onto photorealistic 3D device frames, then rotate the devices to the desired angle.

A linked image folder, including one managed by Fastlane or populated through Xcode UI tests, keeps source screenshots synchronized. The Metal-based editor renders changes at up to 120 frames per second and supports fonts, gradients, backgrounds, and other design controls. Multiple artboards can share device arrangements and panoramic backgrounds, while bundled templates provide ready-made layouts and a community marketplace offers additional templates and add-ons.

ButterKit translates screenshots and App Store metadata into all 50 App Store languages, making localized store preparation practical for international releases. AI and MCP support lets agents build, update, and localize screenshot projects. Once the designs are ready, one action uploads every screenshot and localization to App Store Connect in the correct order.

This workflow is aimed at developers preparing, revising, and publishing store visuals without splitting capture, design, translation, and delivery across separate tools. ButterKit 2.4.06 is freeware in the Photo & Graphics category for macOS 26 Tahoe and later. It runs on both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs.
