calibrite PROFILER3.1.3

Create custom profiles for cameras, monitors, projectors, and large panel displays with calibrite PROFILER, using compatible Calibrite calibration devices and color-management workflows. It is designed for Calibrite, ColorChecker, and X-Rite hardware, helping photographers, filmmakers, designers, and other creators achieve more consistent color.

Beginners can choose built-in presets and complete calibration through a guided three-step process, while help text explains each stage. Presets are tailored to photography and simulated print work, with five customizable video options that support high-brightness displays used with a ColorChecker Display Pro or Display Plus. Users can save their own presets and switch between photo and video configurations for different projects.

A preset can be adjusted through standard controls such as luminance and white point, or advanced users can set white point, luminance, contrast ratio, gamma, the number of patches read, and additional patches taken from their images. A Profile and Preset Manager provides a central way to handle these calibration settings. Version 3.1.3 adds camera calibration to the monitor and projector calibration introduced previously, and the developer says printer profiling will soon receive a refresh.

Listed in Photo & Graphics, the Mac release uses X-Rite color science and supports Intel and Apple Silicon Macs running macOS 12 Monterey or later. It is freeware, and its upgrade support is intended to keep pace with operating-system changes and evolving display technology.
