Capso1.2.7

Capso captures screenshots and screen recordings, turning selected screen content into images or video for documentation, tutorials, support, and everyday sharing. A floating HUD offers Area, Fullscreen, Window, Scrolling, Timer, OCR, and Recording modes; Area capture displays dimensions, lets you move or resize the selection, and uses R to cycle Freeform, 1:1, 4:3, 16:9, 1920×1080, or custom fixed-pixel presets. Fullscreen captures take one click, window mode captures a chosen window, and Scrolling mode stitches long webpages, chat threads, or documents into one image.

Before saving or copying, inline tools add arrows, shapes, text, highlights, and pixelation directly to the capture. Quick Access shows a floating preview with copy, save, annotate, OCR, pin, and a drag handle for sending a fresh screenshot to another app without saving it first. Recording produces MP4 or GIF files and includes system audio and microphone capture, pause, stop, restart, delete, and timer controls. Webcam picture-in-picture supports circle, square, portrait, and landscape frames, drag resizing, corner snapping, and restart without losing its placement or size; clicking PiP expands camera presentation to fullscreen and clicking again restores it.

Capso 1.2.7 is a free, open-source native screenshot and screen-recording app for macOS 15 Sequoia or later on Intel and Apple Silicon, suited to users who need quick visual records or camera-led presentations. Screen-recording, camera, and microphone permissions are required and requested on first use; built with Swift 6.0 and SwiftUI, it also exposes reusable CaptureKit, AnnotationKit, and OCRKit components as Swift Package Manager packages for developers incorporating them into other apps.
