About

Conceal is an open-source Android application for placing wave audio data inside an image. It uses the least significant bits of the image data to carry the audio information. The resulting image can be shared through social media or other image-sharing channels.

A recipient can use Conceal to parse an image that contains embedded wave audio data. This allows the application to support both creating these image files and reading received files. Its main purpose is to combine image sharing with the storage of wave audio data.

Conceal is listed in the Video & Media Players category because it works with media content in two forms: images and audio. Its Android platform makes it relevant to users who need to create or inspect these files on an Android device. The open-source license also makes the application’s licensing status clear to users evaluating the software.

MirrorNest distributes the official Conceal build by mirroring it directly on its own storage. Before publication, MirrorNest scans the mirrored build for malware. This gives Android users a catalog copy that remains tied to the official build while providing a separately hosted download.
