Eagle gathers reference images, screenshots, inspiration, and design files into one searchable library, giving designers a single place to collect and revisit visual material. It combines flexible categorization, multi-dimensional search, and direct browsing of different file formats without requiring each item to be opened separately.

Built-in AI can locate assets by their visual content, meaning, or connections across platforms instead of relying only on remembered filenames or tags. Users can define naming rules, tagging logic, and workflow steps once, then have Eagle apply them repeatedly, while its hub connects major AI models through a shared configuration. Eagle MCP / Skill also connects third-party AI agents for more automated image management.

The browser extension captures inspiration as it appears, supporting drag saves, batch collection, screenshots, and one-click saving of every suitable asset from a webpage. During webpage capture, users can filter by size and format and assign folders or tags, while Eagle detects and saves high-definition images without opening them individually. Images can also be added by dragging them from other applications or by copying and pasting, then arranged in hierarchical folders, tagged, sorted automatically by name, tag, color, or format, and annotated with ideas.

Eagle is freeware for macOS, and the current 4.0,23 release is identified by the developer as v4.0.0 Build23, supporting macOS 10.15+ and Windows 10+; the Mac version uses Apple Silicon (arm64). It is aimed at designers managing anything from everyday inspiration to libraries of tens of thousands of images and complex category structures.
