Ente1.7.29

Ente lets Mac users access Ente Photos from a desktop client, backing up and synchronizing their photo library through private, end-to-end encrypted storage. It gives memories a central home instead of leaving them scattered across devices and services, while remaining usable alongside Ente Photos on other platforms.

The service can detect and group faces directly on the device, and its natural-language search helps locate images by describing what you remember. It can also surface highlights from trips, celebrations, and ordinary days, turning an archive into something easier to revisit. Public links and shared albums support sharing, while collaborative collections let people gather photos together both within and outside Ente. Family members can use the same subscription without an additional charge, and the service starts with 10GB of free storage.

Ente is cross-platform, open source, and self-hostable, giving it a distinct privacy and deployment profile among photo-storage services. The Mac release belongs to the Photo & Graphics category and is offered under a freeware license. Version 1.7.29 runs on macOS 13 Ventura or later and supports Intel and Apple Silicon Macs.
