Felicity Music Player (Trial)

Felicity Music Player (Trial) is an open-source Android application in the Local Media Player category. It is designed for audiophiles and music enthusiasts who want a feature-rich player for listening to local audio. The app uses a custom audio engine and a custom-built interface focused on efficient playback and detailed sound control.

Its dual decoder uses both hardware and software decoding through FFmpeg. Audio processing for the equalizer, bass, and reverb is implemented in C++ through JNI, with ARM NEON SIMD auto-vectorization used to reduce CPU overhead. The player supports bass and treble adjustment, native downmixing from multichannel audio to stereo output, stereo widening, and tape saturation.

A 10-band equalizer provides adjustable frequency bands with up to plus or minus 15 dB of control and a dedicated PreAmp setting. Felicity Music Player supports gapless playback, high-resolution formats including FLAC, ALAC, and DSD, and multichannel formats such as 5.1 and 7.1 surround sound. It also includes a Milkdrop visualizer with twin-buffer support, native DSP processing, and real-time rendering on a GL surface at the device’s native frame rate.

The interface is optimized and inspired by Inure App Manager, with custom animations throughout the app. Its dynamic theme adapts to the album art of the currently playing track, connecting the visual presentation to the music. MirrorNest distributes the official Android build directly from its own storage and scans it for malware before publishing, while the open-source license identifies the software’s development and distribution model.
