Felicity Music Player (Trial)

Felicity Music Player (Trial) plays music stored on an Android device offline, giving listeners detailed control over local audio instead of relying on a network service. Its custom audio engine and purpose-built interface are designed for audiophile listening, with efficient playback and extensive sound adjustment.

The dual decoder combines hardware and software decoding through FFmpeg. Audio processing for the equalizer, bass, and reverb runs in C++ through JNI, while ARM NEON SIMD auto-vectorization helps reduce CPU overhead. Controls include bass and treble adjustment, stereo widening, tape saturation, and native downmixing of multichannel audio to stereo output.

A 10-band equalizer offers up to ±15 dB on each band alongside a dedicated PreAmp control. The player handles gapless playback, high-resolution FLAC, ALAC, and DSD files, plus 5.1 and 7.1 surround formats. Its Milkdrop visualizer supports twin buffering, native DSP processing, and real-time rendering on a GL surface at the device’s native frame rate.

The interface draws inspiration from Inure App Manager, uses custom animations, and changes its theme to match the album art of the track being played. This open-source app is intended for music enthusiasts who keep local collections and want both advanced sound shaping and animated visuals.
