Flacon13.0.1

Flacon splits a single audio file containing an entire album into separate track files, using the matching CUE sheet to identify each song. It is useful when an album has been stored as one continuous image but individual tracks are needed for playback, sharing, or library organization. The program can also create a per-track CUE file in the output directory, preserving track boundaries in a form suitable for later use.

Track information can be edited collectively for the whole album or adjusted separately for individual songs. Flacon analyzes Replay Gain in either ALBUM-gain or TRACK-gain mode, helping playback software apply consistent loudness according to the chosen scope. It automatically detects the character set used by CUE files, which helps interpret metadata from different sources. Supported input formats are WAV, FLAC, APE, WavPack, and True Audio (TTA), while output can be written as FLAC, WAV, WavPack, AAC, OGG, or MP3.

Flacon is an open-source audio encoder offered as freeware for macOS, and it supports both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs. The 13.0.1 release is associated with a 13.0.2 note reporting a fix for an issue that left the AppImage interface in English. It is aimed at listeners, collectors, and archivists who need to turn album images into tagged, separately accessible tracks while retaining cue information.
