Free Notifications

Free Notifications lets you edit notification channels that Android normally removes from the notification-settings interface, including channels such as “Developer Options enabled.” It restores channel-level controls for vibration, ringtone, importance, and other notification behavior, so users can change how system and app alerts are delivered. The module addresses Android’s newer practice of excluding selected channels from customization, particularly system notices whose settings are otherwise locked.

Used as an Xposed module, it reopens the controls for every Notification Channel rather than only the channels Android exposes. After a channel is changed, removing the module leaves those settings in effect, although editing those channels is unavailable until the module is installed again. To return system Notification Channels to their default settings, users can use the separate Reset all Notification Channels module.

It suits Android users who want to silence, retune, or reprioritize stubborn system alerts, with the “Developer Options enabled” notice a typical example. Because it is an Xposed module, it is used within an Xposed-enabled Android setup. Free Notifications is open-source Android software for devices running Android 8.0 or later, with a Universal architecture.
