Squircle CE - Code Editor lets you write, inspect, and organize source files from an Android phone or tablet. It handles more than 30 programming languages, including Java, Kotlin, Python, C and C++, HTML, JavaScript, TypeScript, PHP, Rust, and Go. Syntax highlighting separates code elements visually, while completion suggests variables, functions, and keywords from the current file.

Automatic indentation, matching-bracket highlighting, and smart handling of closing brackets, braces, and quotes make editing code on a touch screen more manageable. You can select, delete, or duplicate lines, switch between color schemes, and revise changes with unlimited undo and redo. The editor also saves work across sessions, so edits remain available after reopening the application.

Its file manager handles local files and connects to remote locations through SFTP and FTP(S). Integrated Git commands cover committing, pushing, pulling, and branch management without leaving the editor. Students, hobbyists, and professional developers can use it for learning, quick fixes, or maintaining source code while away from a desktop.

As an open-source Developer Tools application for Android, version 2025.1.3 requires Android 7.0 or newer and supports arm64-v8a, armeabi-v7a, x86_64, and x86 devices. This release adds explorer file icons, a read-only toggle in the extended keyboard, Sticky Scroll, Recursive Submodules settings, and support for Batchfile, Dart, F#, Clojure, and Perl. It also closes deleted files automatically, improves extension detection for syntax highlighting, and prevents duplicate closing characters when the next character already matches.
