Open Hitomi0.1.2

Open Hitomi puts a floating hedgehog assistant on Android 5.0 or later, combining local chat with browser and other connected tools. It gives users configurable tool access in one interface instead of limiting them to a fixed chat screen. The in-app browser supports visible browsing and can read page contents back through the assistant.

Optional Termux integration lets the assistant pass local shell-style commands through the same interface. A local Solana wallet display tool presents wallet-related information on the device. Together, these features suit people who want to examine web material, query a local model, run commands, or view wallet data from one mobile assistant.

For local model use, Open Hitomi connects to an Ollama-compatible endpoint. It checks the local server for installed models, selects the first available model, and stores entered connection details on the device. The same connection field accepts an optional xAI API key, with local endpoints taking priority over the external provider.

The software is open-source and uses Universal architecture. Version 0.1.2 adds on-device support for a local Ollama endpoint, optional xAI API-key entry in the shared connection field, and an in-app Open Hitomi setup guide.
