Hut Hut

Hut Hut is a media player for Linux users who maintain their own collection. Users point it at folders containing movies, shows, music, and loose videos, and the application brings those files together in one organized library. It does not require accounts or streaming, includes no ads, and keeps the media on the user’s computer.

The library separates content into Movies, Shows, Videos, and Tracks. Hut Hut can find artwork and posters automatically, while Collections and Playlists provide additional ways to arrange content. Users can browse through different views and drag new files into the library to place them where they belong.

A video can continue playing in a mini-player while the user explores the rest of the library. Hardware media keys, the volume flyout, and now-playing artwork are supported. Themes range from clean and bright designs to a deep true-black option, and supported formats include MP3, M4A, FLAC, WAV, OGG, Opus, AAC, WMA, MP4, MKV, WebM, AVI, MOV, M4V, WMV, and M2TS.

Hut Hut is fully offline, makes no network connections, and sends no telemetry, so media, library information, and settings remain on the device.
