Identity0.6.0

Identity lets users compare multiple versions of an image or video in one tool, making changes between related visual files easier to examine. It works with both still images and videos, so the same comparison approach can be used across different kinds of visual media. The program is centered on distinguishing revisions of the same or related material rather than treating each file as an isolated item.

It suits editors, reviewers, and other people who need to inspect visual changes between versions. Typical uses include checking image edits, reviewing alternative video revisions, and verifying that a changed file contains the intended visual result. Identity is particularly relevant when several versions must be examined together during a media review.

Developed by Soumyadeep Ghosh, Identity 0.6.0 is a Linux entry in the Video & Media Players category; it requires snapd and targets x86_64 (amd64) systems. Its open-source license makes the program’s source code available under an open-source licensing model.
