jsBudbrainEqualizer1.0.3

jsBudbrainEqualizer applies live equalization to everything your Linux computer plays, from music and videos to games and calls in a browser. Ten frequency sliders run from deep bass to bright treble, while a colorful spectrum display shows the current sound for the left channel, right channel, or both. You can select a ready-made sound setting, shape your own mix, and save custom settings under names for later use.

A single control bypasses the equalizer and sends audio directly to the speakers, while a mute button silences playback when a phone call arrives. The output can be directed to selected speakers or headphones, and the sliders move smoothly into position when settings change. The interface can fill the screen, fold the sliders away to leave only the spectrum, or remain as a small always-on-top window during other work. Light and dark designs are available, and optional login startup puts the equalizer in place as your session begins.

Designed for music listeners, gamers, video viewers, and people taking browser calls, the program belongs to the Multimedia category and is published by Josef Sejrek of Budbrain Software. Version 1.0.3 adds support for 83 languages, reduces the live display’s computing demand by about one third, and keeps every label fitted within its space in each language. It is commercial software for Linux on amd64 systems and requires snapd; builds are also available in DEB, RPM, Flatpak, AppImage, and Arch formats.
