About

Legcord lets you use Discord through a lightweight, customizable client that connects to the same Discord servers with your existing account. It reduces the official app’s background resource use while retaining game detection, making it practical for gaming and older hardware. Built-in tracker blocking operates automatically, and the project says it does not collect your data.

From Settings, users can choose themes, transparency options, and optional client modifications such as Equicord and Vencord, with support for creating themes and plugins. Legcord also includes Shelter, Vencord, Equicord, and Venmic as bundled components. It provides audio screensharing on Linux and Windows, while macOS offers native-feeling screensharing and native system-audio loopback capture. Linux users can run it with either Wayland or X11, and it supports x64 and AArch64 systems, including many Linux devices and ARM Windows machines. macOS support covers both Apple Silicon and Intel processors.

Legcord uses a newer Electron build than stock Discord, alongside performance and startup optimizations intended to keep the client responsive. Version 1.3.1 redesigns the screenshare picker and adds hardware-accelerated screensharing on Windows and macOS, while also introducing Wayland global keybind support. As open-source software, it can be inspected and extended with custom themes and plugins, and it is aimed at people who want a mod-friendly Discord experience that complements rather than replaces Discord’s service.

Requires Linux + Flatpak · Architecture: x86_64, aarch64
