ListenTogether1.1.2

Start a shared listening session for podcasts or other audio files, keeping everyone’s playback aligned across their devices. One person invites friends into the session, so the group can hear the same material together despite being in different locations. The same arrangement also works when everyone is sitting in the same room and wants coordinated control of the audio.

Add publicly reachable audio by pasting its HTTP or HTTPS URL into a playlist. ListenTogether can handle almost any audio file available through those web protocols, rather than limiting playback to a particular file format. An integrated podcast search finds episodes and adds them directly, so participants do not have to locate or paste an episode’s audio address themselves. People can also join through the Progressive Web App in a browser when the Android app is unavailable, extending sessions to devices without the installed application.

ListenTogether is aimed at friends, families, and podcast groups who want to listen collectively during remote calls, shared activities, or in-person gatherings. It is open-source Android software in the Video & Media Players category. Version 1.1.2 requires Android 5.1 or newer and uses a Universal architecture.
