About

Mount a directory from your host inside a Multipass instance with multipass-sshfs, then work with those files from the instance’s own filesystem context. It provides a Linux network-filesystem client that uses SSHFS to connect over SFTP to a remote filesystem and expose the resulting content where the instance can use it. This addresses workflows in which files live outside the local system but must be available during work inside Multipass.

The primary operation is performed with the multipass mount command, which places a selected host directory inside the target Multipass instance. SSHFS manages the remote-filesystem connection, while Multipass supplies the environment in which the mounted directory appears and is accessed. It is intended for people whose Multipass workflows need to work with files maintained outside the instance.

Canonical publishes version 1.1 for Linux, and the package requires Linux with snapd. It supports amd64, arm64, armhf, i386, ppc64el, and s390x systems. It is freeware and is categorized under Internet & Browsers because it links SFTP-accessed files with a Multipass instance.

Requires Linux + snapd · Architecture: amd64, arm64, armhf, i386, ppc64el, s390x
