music-kitten2.5.0

music-kitten lets players use their own music as a soundtrack while playing Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, so gameplay can be accompanied by a personal listening choice. Unlike a general-purpose music manager, it concentrates on accompanying one game rather than organizing or managing a music library. In a typical session, it supplies the in-game audio backdrop for players who want their preferred tracks during matches.

The software is aimed at Linux gamers whose main use case is personal music alongside Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, not broad media playback or collection management. Cory Sanin publishes music-kitten as open-source software. Its current version is 2.5.0, and it requires Linux with snapd.

The supported architecture is x86_64, also known as amd64. The snap build should be treated as unmaintained: an attempted update was rejected, and its maintainer does not plan to continue work on that snap. Users seeking a maintained or differently packaged option can use the .deb package, AppImage, AUR package, or build the software from source.
