About
OTOS Camera Manager shows a live preview from an OTOS camera and records its feed from a Linux desktop. It is intended for people operating OTOS camera hardware who need a companion application for monitoring and capture. The current 0.1.0 release is published by onj for Linux and requires snapd.
The software is delivered as a public Snap, while access entitlement is handled by the application and the connected OTOS hardware. Its commercial license makes it proprietary rather than openly licensed. Camera use may require connecting the camera, serial-port, raw-usb, audio-record, and audio-playback interfaces when they are not attached automatically.
The included Qt 6 component is licensed under LGPLv3, and GStreamer is provided under LGPLv2.1 or later. License texts, written source offers, and relinking instructions are located in $SNAP/usr/share/otos-camera-manager/licenses/, with GPL-3.0.txt included because the LGPLv3 terms refer to GPLv3; the application itself is not GPL-licensed. A typical use is checking an OTOS camera’s view at a workstation before or during recording, then preserving the resulting footage for later use.
Requires Linux + snapd
