PeerTube Live1.4.1

PeerTube Live sends live video from a mobile device’s camera directly to a PeerTube channel, turning the device into a portable broadcast source. It lets broadcasters reach the federated PeerTube network from their device rather than relying on a centralized video platform. A PeerTube account on an instance of the user’s choice is required, and the app supports multiple accounts for people who publish through more than one community.

The app works with any PeerTube instance, while stream settings allow the broadcaster to define a title, description, and visibility. Broadcasters can switch between the front and rear cameras, and the controls are designed for straightforward live use. This suits independent creators, community channels, event organizers, and reporters who need to go live away from a desktop.

PeerTube Live is open-source software for Android in the Video & Media Players category, with Universal architecture and support for Android 5.0 and later. PeerTube itself is a free, federated alternative to centralized video platforms developed by the French nonprofit Framasoft. Mob-dev, a company specializing in mobile and Linux application development, is associated with the product and was created by Anthony Chomienne, a member of the Cleso group. Version 1.4.1 is the current release.
