Podcini.A brings podcasts, local media, and remote media from external providers into one workspace, where listeners can search online sources, reserve or play unsubscribed items, and include YouTube use in their media routine. On Android, this open-source Video & Media Players app organizes content with multiple natural, circular play queues linked to feeds, alongside volume hierarchies containing sub-volumes and feeds.

It can generate synthetic feeds and shelve items apart from their original feeds, while preserving a feed when its subscription is removed. Every media item can carry tags, todos, notes, or comments, plus a five-level rating and twelve-level play state; media and feeds can be sorted, filtered, and searched. Sleep and auto-play timers, two independent feed-level algorithms for automatic downloading or enqueuing, and spaced repetition at preset intervals support planned listening.

Streamed audio is cached for rewinding and replay, and two items may play simultaneously with separate controls. Audio-clip recording, position markers, media linking, Podcasting 2.0 transcripts and captions, RSS readability, and text-to-speech add tools for study, reference, and accessibility. Automatic backups, a customized media folder, and database imports from other apps support moving and safeguarding a library; feeds and subscription catalogs can be sent between devices without a server.

Version 12.17.2 caches the ten newest media specifications received from external apps in memory and removes them after expiry, improves Stream composer in PlayerDetailed, and updates PodciniLib to 1.1.5, so companion external apps must also be updated for compatibility. It requires Android 8.0+ on arm64-v8a.
