readarr-tak0.4.18.2805-v7

readarr-tak monitors multiple RSS feeds for new books by favorite authors, then acquires, sorts, and renames the matching files. It manages ebook and audiobook collections for users who obtain books through Usenet or BitTorrent.

A given book can have only one supported type in each instance, so keeping both its ebook and audiobook versions requires separate readarr-tak instances. The software suits readers maintaining an automated personal library, especially when new releases need to be tracked across several author feeds. Its service is configured to restart under any condition, while the underlying Readarr project has been discontinued since June 2025; readarr-tak is an unofficial continuation published by TehAppKiller.

This open-source software runs on Linux in the Video & Media Players category, with current version 0.4.18.2805-v7 available for x86_64 (amd64) systems. Linux and snapd are required.

Because of Canonical’s current snap restrictions, files can be written only inside directories owned by root, and content in the home base directory cannot be read. Data kept under /home therefore requires attention to the snap-specific behavior and its documented configuration guidance.
