About

Rickrack is an open-source color palette generator for Linux. It is designed for people who need to develop color combinations for personal image, illustration, or design projects. The software is part of the Photo & Graphics category and provides more than one way to explore suitable colors.

Users can build palettes with a color wheel, which helps them examine relationships between colors and select combinations. They can also choose colors directly from images, allowing palettes to be based on existing visual material. These tools support different approaches to finding colors that work together.

Rickrack can export or work with palette formats such as ACO, ASE, GPL, and XML. These formats can be imported into applications including Photoshop, Clip Studio Paint, GIMP, Krita, and Inkscape for continued editing or sharing. The software supports English, Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Russian, Spanish, and Esperanto. MirrorNest provides the Linux version in its Graphics & Design catalog by mirroring the official build directly on its own storage and scanning it for malware before publishing.
