Semitone1.3

Use Semitone to check an instrument’s pitch, maintain a steady practice pulse, or play notes on an on-screen keyboard from one Android app. Its tuner supports pitch checking, while the metronome provides consistent timing for scales, drills, and other rhythm-based exercises. The integrated piano gives musicians an additional keyboard for practice alongside the tuning and timing tools.

The tuner allows the A4 reference pitch to be changed for alternative tuning approaches. Metronome users can set strong beats manually, controlling which beats receive emphasis during an exercise. The piano uses a dynamically resizable keyboard whose displayed dimensions can be adjusted to suit the player’s needs.

Semitone is useful for instrumentalists and other musicians who need pitch guidance, controlled rhythm, and keyboard access during individual practice or lessons. It combines these three functions instead of requiring separate tuner, metronome, and piano utilities. Listed in Video & Media Players, Semitone is open-source software for Android, with current version 1.3 requiring Android 4.1 or newer. It supports arm64-v8a, armeabi-v7a, x86_64, and x86 architectures.
