SmartTube F-Droid32.56

Browse media on a television and organize what you find according to your own rules with SmartTube F-Droid, giving TV viewers more control over their browsing experience. Its interface is designed for large screens, making it practical on TV boxes and televisions used from the sofa.

The player supports video resolutions up to 8K, allowing compatible displays to show very high-resolution media. You can cast content from a phone, operate playback with a TV box remote controller, or enter text using an external software keyboard. It also supports devices without Google Services, accommodating hardware with different service configurations.

Connected access uses one-time connection codes with very limited permissions; for example, a code cannot change your password, and no additional action is required for this connection method. To revoke access, open Your connections to third-party apps & services, choose See all connection, find YouTube TV or Google Drive, and select the app’s Remove access option. Built-in security features should remain enabled while using these connections.

It is open-source software for Android TV, requires Android 5.0 or later, and supports the arm64-v8a and armeabi-v7a architectures. Current version 32.56 suits viewers who browse media from a couch, cast from a handset, or use a TV box with remote and keyboard input.
