tbinge1.0.1

Tbinge lets desktop viewers build a local library of movies and television shows they plan to watch or have already seen. It is designed specifically for personal movie and TV tracking, placing it in the Video & Media Players category rather than serving as a general-purpose media utility or browser-only catalog. Users can search TMDB for titles, add results to their local database, and remove entries when their library changes.

Each saved movie or show can receive a local rating, with those ratings also contributing to TMDB’s rating system. An offline mode allows users to work with their existing library when TMDB searching is unavailable. The JavaScript-based desktop program is built with Electron and Node.js, making the library a computer-based tracking collection rather than a web page.

It suits viewers organizing a watchlist, recording completed viewing, or keeping personal ratings in one place. For developers, the project supports hot-reloaded development builds, compilation and minification for production on the current operating system, linting, and automatic file fixes; production targets include Mac OS, Linux snaps, and Windows 10 x64. The Linux build is version 1.0.1, uses the open-source license, requires snapd, and supports x86_64 (amd64) systems. Lance Gundersen, Fatawa Lansah, Clifford Ramsey, and Kyle McCain created tbinge as a senior school project, with Gundersen identified as its developer and publisher.
