Teapod lets you browse and watch Crunchyroll’s anime catalog on an Android device through an unofficial client. It presents titles in a native video player based on ExoPlayer, with gesture controls for playback. Picture-in-picture playback is available, and settings let you prefer the original-language version with subtitles (OmU). Using these streaming features requires a Crunchyroll account, and Teapod is not affiliated with Crunchyroll.

Integration with TeapodMetaDB identifies opening and ending segments so supported shows can skip them during playback.

As an open-source Video & Media Players application, Teapod suits Crunchyroll viewers who want a community-made way to watch anime on phones and tablets. The current 1.1.0-beta3 build requires Android 6.0 or later and uses a universal architecture.

This third beta of the 1.1 series moves the interface to Material Design 3 and updates the Crunchyroll parser to version 2 to fix Crunchyroll support. It also adds a dedicated Watchlist fragment, a skip-intro function, display-size-based column counts, and minor UI and user-experience refinements.
