terminal-parrot1.2.1

Typing terminal-parrot starts a playful parrot party directly in a Linux terminal, turning an otherwise ordinary shell session into a brief entertainment experience. It gives users a simple way to add character and movement to the command line instead of opening a conventional desktop media program.

The program is operated with a single command: enter terminal-parrot to run it, then press the ESC key to quit. Its deliberately small interface keeps the focus on the terminal-based parrot presentation, with no menus or configuration workflow described for the experience. That direct command-and-key interaction is what sets it apart from media players designed around windows, playlists, or browsing controls.

terminal-parrot suits Linux users who want a lighthearted break while working in a shell, a playful demonstration for a terminal session, or a novelty to show in a developer or administrator environment. It is published by James Tigert and belongs to the Video & Media Players category, although its appeal comes from its terminal presentation rather than conventional media-library features.

The current release is version 1.2.1, distributed as open-source software for Linux on x86_64 (amd64) systems. Running it requires Linux with snapd, so that system component must be available alongside the supported architecture.
