Transistor - Simple Radio App lets you listen to radio stations streamed over the internet from an Android device. Its minimal design keeps attention on a personal station list rather than adding a full directory or discovery system. The app offers only a simple search, so it suits listeners who already know what they want to hear or prefer managing a small selection themselves.

Stations can be added through search, by opening an audio streaming link from a web browser, by entering a raw stream address, or by supplying an M3U or PLS playlist address. Search results come from the radio-browser.info online database, where listeners can also add stations that are missing. This approach gives Transistor useful ways to import known streams while avoiding a crowded browsing interface.

Swipe a station away to remove it from the list, and enable additional editing controls in Settings to change a station’s name, image, or streaming link by tapping and holding it. The app is well suited to routine listening at home, at work, or on the move when direct access to selected internet stations matters more than recommendations. It is published as open-source software and uses a universal Android build for devices running Android 7.1 or later.

Version 4.3.10, “The Width of a Circle,” changes station playlists and images to identify Transistor instead of exposing the Android version, device model, and build ID. It also removes a stray Cancel button that could appear in Android Auto, while updating translations, software libraries, and the build setup.
