Ultimate Media Downloader6.3.2

Ultimate Media Downloader saves videos, music, playlists, channels, live streams and podcasts from YouTube and more than 1,400 services, with coverage extending beyond 1,500 sites. It handles Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, Reddit, Vimeo, SoundCloud, Twitch, Kick, Dailymotion, Rumble, Odysee, Bilibili, Bandcamp, Mixcloud, Pinterest, Tumblr, Streamable and the Internet Archive, as well as HLS, DASH, direct MP4 or MP3 links and embedded players.

You can paste a browser link, select a preset, or choose exact resolution, codec, container and bitrate, then save video as MP4, MKV or WEBM from 144p through 8K, including 60 fps. Audio extraction supports MP3 at 128–320 kbps, M4A, Opus and lossless FLAC, with tags and cover art, while subtitles can be saved or embedded as SRT, VTT or ASS, including available auto-generated captions. Playlist and channel views let you select individual items, and the queue, progress display and download library handle multiple links, Shorts, premieres, live recordings and later VODs.

Built by Keshav Bhatt for Linux, this open-source graphical interface to yt-dlp suits people collecting media, archiving livestreams, or converting online music without terminal commands. Its built-in Chromium browser supports Google-account sign-in for private, unlisted, members-only, subscriber-only and age-restricted media, while integrated YouTube search can find and play videos or playlists without ads. Clipboard detection works with Chrome, Chromium, Firefox, Brave and Edge, and the engine updates inside the app as site behavior changes.

The current 6.2 release adds drag-and-drop handling for one or more links, routing them to Batch, Playlist or Simple according to the active tab, and fixes command-line URLs opening the wrong tab. When the window gains focus, copied links can fill empty URL fields, with an option to disable that behavior in Settings; nothing starts automatically.
