Video Downloader2.6.9

Video Downloader saves online videos, music, and pictures to an Android device, then lets users browse and play the stored media in one place. Published by InShot Inc., the freeware app is categorized under Video & Media Players and combines media discovery with file management.

Its built-in browser can detect playable videos on visited pages and offer available files for saving, including HD video and large files. Users choose a detected item, select an available quality or format, and open saved videos with the integrated offline player. Bookmarks keep frequently visited pages close at hand for repeated access.

The download manager can pause, resume, remove, and retry transfers, including those that failed, while several files can be handled at the same time. Background transfers continue when the app is no longer in the foreground, and a progress bar shows their current status. Saved files can use device storage or an SD card, with support for mp3, m4a, mp4, m4v, mov, avi, wmv, doc, xls, pdf, txt, and other file types.

A password-protected folder provides an additional way to organize private saved media and documents. The app suits Android users who want one place to find online media and manage files for offline access, and its current release is version 2.6.9. A separate paid edition with additional features is also available.
