wagerr4.0.0

Place sports wagers through Wagerr’s decentralized sportsbook, where blockchain-based contracts manage the betting process instead of a central betting authority. These contracts hold stakes in escrow, verify sporting results, and pay winning bets, addressing concerns about corruption and operational risk in conventional sportsbook operations.

The project is designed for bettors who want sports wagering conducted through distributed blockchain technology rather than by a centrally controlled service. Its stated reach covers all major sports leagues and allows global access without geographic restrictions, making it suitable for placing bets across different sporting markets.

Wagerr also functions as a digital currency for decentralized betting, combining its wagering system with a deflationary blockchain and a value-coupling model linked to transaction fees. Nearly half of the fees are automatically destroyed, reducing the supply of the associated coin; if demand remains steady, the project suggests that this scarcity may increase how market participants value it, though such market outcomes are not guaranteed.

Developed and published by Wagerr, the open-source software is intended for Linux users who want inspectable betting software and operates on x86_64 (amd64) hardware. The current 4.0.0 release requires Linux together with snapd, so those platform and runtime requirements apply before it can be used.
