About
Word Hustler is a commercial spelling game for Linux. It uses an improved Spelling Bee format in which the game provides some spelling assistance. The activity centers on entering words that satisfy the game's letter and length rules.
Every word must contain the center letter. Words must be at least four letters long, and letters may be reused multiple times within a word. The game typically excludes proper nouns, slang, hyphenated words, and obscure terminology. These rules define the kinds of words that can be entered.
A green circle marked with a question mark shows possible next letters. This help can be used only when enough credits are available. The player starts with zero credits and earns one credit for each correctly entered word. The first two letters in a word are free and do not spend credits.
On MirrorNest, Word Hustler is listed for Linux in the Multimedia category. Its license is identified as commercial in the catalog. MirrorNest links straight to the official release instead of mirroring the software, directing users to the original release location.
