Block adult content and dangerous websites across an Android device with Acutis Firewall, a parental-control filter that works on-device. It applies domain restrictions to every installed app, rather than only to web browsers, so selected online services are covered as well. Parents can optionally block gambling sites and social-media platforms, or activate the firewall with one tap when a ready-made restriction is sufficient.

Daily screen-time limits can target individual websites or broader categories, while weekly schedules restrict access on chosen days. These time rules suit homework, bedtime, and family hours, and the app can start protecting the device automatically at boot. A local VPN tunnel examines DNS requests; blocked domains receive a not-found response, while allowed traffic uses the ordinary connection without slowdown.

A PIN protects settings and controls, with the PIN held in Android’s encrypted storage. Filtering stays on the device without analytics, tracking, or data collection, and DNS requests go directly to the system DNS or Cloudflare. This makes Acutis Firewall useful for parents managing a child’s phone and for households that want local control across several apps.

Version 1.0.6 adds uninstall protection, requiring the parent PIN before the app can be removed, and it alerts you if protection is removed anyway; clearing the app’s storage is detected and wipes the PIN. The notification’s Disable Firewall action can no longer bypass the PIN, and time rules also require it for deletion or deactivation. Settings now displays the actual app version. Acutis Firewall is open-source Android software for Android 10 and later, supports arm64-v8a, armeabi-v7a, x86_64, and x86 devices, requires no root access, and runs without a subscription.
