Scan a local network from an Android device to find connected hosts, inspect their open TCP ports, and examine basic network services with Port Authority. Its LAN discovery view reveals devices attached to the same network, while the public-IP function shows the address visible beyond that network. TCP scans can target hosts on either a LAN or WAN, and custom port ranges let you concentrate on specific ports instead of scanning every possible one.

The scanner processes many checks concurrently through heavy threading, reducing the need to wait for results one at a time. When it detects a web service, it can open the corresponding HTTP or HTTPS address in the device’s browser. Lightweight fingerprinting can identify SSH and HTTP(S) server types and versions when the service exposes that information. DNS lookup support covers almost every record type, making the app useful for examining how network names resolve.

MAC-address vendor detection can help identify the makers of devices found on the local network, and Wake-on-LAN can send wake signals to those hosts. The combination suits home-network troubleshooting, endpoint review, and quick service checks when a dedicated computer is unavailable.
