Password Store (Passkey Edition) stores and retrieves passwords on Android 8.0 or later, keeping credentials in an encrypted, pass-compatible password store. Each entry is an OpenPGP-encrypted text file, allowing existing pass repositories to coexist with newly created ones. You can clone a repository or create one, organize its password files, and synchronize them with a remote Git repository.

When a credential is needed, the app decrypts it for copying and can automatically fill or save login details in apps and supported browsers. It also generates and stores time-based one-time passwords for two-step authentication. As a Credential Manager provider, it responds to WebAuthn and passkey requests from other apps, including passkey creation and use directly from the Credential Manager prompt without opening a separate app.

Passkey entries can live alongside passwords and use the same OpenPGP key, while passless credentials can be imported and used in the app and credentials created here can work with passless-based tools. Its shared encrypted credential format and Git-backed pass store support interoperability with Linux, while its passkey encoding differs from that of the agrahn fork. Discoverable, usernameless credentials are supported, presenting all matching passkeys when a service does not provide a username.

This community continuation of the original pass project is a fork of the archived Android Password Store. It is open-source software under GPL-3.0-only in the Security & Privacy category, with arm64-v8a, armeabi-v7a, x86_64, and x86 builds. Version 1.25.2 supports Chrome, Firefox, Fennec, Mull, DuckDuckGo, and browsers that delegate passkey handling to Credential Manager.
