Cavalry 2.7.2 supports macOS 12 Monterey and later on both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs, and the developer also offers it for Windows. As freeware, individuals may use its professional features without payment or usage restrictions. A Canva account provides access to Cavalry and other Canva products and features, while SSO access is available through Canva Enterprise or Canva Districts accounts.

Canva now maintains the current product, while users can continue using their legacy Scene Group version until its subscription period ends. Owners of a Cavalry Teams or Pro licence can claim access to the free Canva version through their Cavalry account, but refunding that subscription removes Pro features in Cavalry 2.6.1 and earlier. Saving files in version 2.7 before changing the subscription is recommended.
