Dremel DigiLab 3D Slicer1.2.3

Prepare a CAD model for 3D printing by importing it, positioning it, and converting it into printable instructions with Dremel DigiLab 3D Slicer. It slices STL and OBJ files locally, so the preparation process works without an internet connection. Based on Cura’s open-source slicing software, it can produce files for Dremel printers as well as other Cura-integrated 3D printers.

The workspace shows the 10 × 6 × 6.7-inch (255 × 155 × 170 mm) build volume and the platform where models adhere during printing. File-preparation controls move, scale, rotate, and mirror models, while solid, x-ray, and layer views help inspect the planned result. Print setup includes infill, supports, and build-plate adhesion, and the program estimates printing time, material usage, and cost before preparation.

Selecting a Dremel 3D45, 3D40, or 3D20 loads that printer’s standard settings automatically. Material choices include PLA, ECO-ABS, Nylon, and PETG for the 3D45, while the 3D40, 3D40-Flex, and 3D20 support PLA. Print profiles are based on layer height: smaller layers provide more detail but take longer, while taller layers print faster with less detail.

Version 1.2.3 is freeware in the Photo & Graphics category for MacOS and supports Intel and Apple Silicon systems. Optimal performance depends on keeping the operating system current, since earlier system versions are not optimized for compatibility while newer versions are supported; Dremel 3D20 owners also need firmware v1.5-2018611 or later.
